St. Maries of the Isle visit the angels (Cork Exhibition – 5th Feb 2010)
The children of St. Maries of the Isle had a great time acquainting themselves with the angels today. The initial question, when they first saw the angels was, what are they for?
This was quickly replaced with, I want a picture with this one... and this one... and this one... and this one...
YWAMDENVER sing for the angels (Cork Exhibition - 4th Feb 2010)
Before today's downpour YWAMDENVER or Youth with a mission came into the exhibition and kindly sang for the angels. The group is currently touring Ireland. We wish them well on their travels and thank them kindly for stopping by and singing to the angels.

Inspiring visitor: David O'Brien (Cork Exhibition - 3rd Feb 2010)
Today the exhibition had a very interesting visitor. I saw a film crew taking shots of a very fit looking guy running through the park along the angels, on his back he had a haversack with an Irish flag attached. I approached the crew and inquired what was the purpose of the filming. Sevan Matossian the Film Director tells me he's making a docufilm about an Irishman called David O'Brien, a Corkionian. Why? Well, it turns out David is taking on a global challenge that only 3 people have overcome ever.
David is about to run through 3 of the worlds hottest places on the planet and one of the coldest. Three deserts and an ice cap! I was getting hot and cold flushes just listening to David describe the detail of the challenges. So, why was he doing this? At 57 yrs young David wants to prove to the world that if the mind bo dy and soul are in balance a human can overcome any challenge that it takes on. He hopes his achievement inspires people into believing in themselves.
I wished him well on accomplishing his goal, but if you ask me, he's already inspiring people - me included. Good luck David from everyone behind Angels-Beacons of Hope, yer some man for one man!
